Welcome to the prestigious national marathon championship and long-distance race, the 66th edition of the Tiền Phong newspaper, taking place in the enchanting in Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province (March 30, 2025)

General introduction

Tien Phong Marathon National Championship (Tien Phong Marathon) is a prestigious tournament with a long history behind it – the tournament was first held in Hanoi, 1958. Being a top sporting event, the tournament has been integrated into Vietnam’s offficial athletics competition system for the last 50 years, and it is held annually at the end of March. Tien Phong Marathon attracts the best participants in Vietnam competing for medals in mid and long distances, and this is also a good opportunity for amateur runners to compete on the same ground as top national athletes.

The 66th Tien Phong Marathon National Championship

On March 30th 2025, for the 66th anniversary of Tien Phong Marathon, the tournament will be held in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province, central of Vietnam. Pro runners and amateur runners will be able to compete in 4 distances: 5km 10km, 21,1km and 42,195km. There are 2 separate competition systems with separate award systems for pros and amateur runners. There are special awards for top 5 winners regardless of pro or amateur runners.

At TPM 2025, athletes will experience the unique race route in Vietnam when striding on the land where the national heroes got the triumph for the progress of constructing, defending, reuniting and bright developing of the Nation.
